Jodi Picoult

 Jodi Picoult, American author of 23 novels. Her last 8 novels have debuted at # 1 on the New York Times bestseller list.

I'm not sure which Jodi Picoult book I read first, but whichever one it was completely hooked me. I bought 5 in one trip to a charity shop and read them over a few months. Each book she writes has a completely unique plot that grips you right to the end. I like books that keep you guessing and these definitely do.
The books generally revolve around a court case. There are some that contain all of the evidence you need to completely believe this person is guilty, and then one piece of evidence will be questioned and you are left completely shocked and horrified that you, the reader, fell for it yet again.
My favourite Jodi Picoult book is House Rules. I also highly recommend Nineteen Minutes or Handle With Care.
