New Beginnings.

I'm rubbish at writing blog posts, I've had about 10 blogs in the past that I've just either forgotten about or given up on. I think part of the problem was that I never had a theme. I never knew what to write about so I had no inspiration. This time I'm determined to stick with it, I'm going to focus on the things I'm passionate about.
I'm not going to stick to one passion, it's going to be a mixed bag of stuff; including make-up, bath bombs, fiction books, photography, animals, and my fiancée.

So, let's write a little introduction.
My name is Raychul. I'm 23 and I live with my fiancée, Kirsty, and my parents. We live in Greater Manchester. I have lived here most of my life. I did move to Huddersfield for 2 years whilst I studied Graphic Design at University but I dropped out due to health problems and moved back home. I met Kirsty online and then in person in 2011; when I was 20 and she was 16. We got engaged in Disneyland in September 2013 and have been wedding planning since. The wedding is not happening anytime soon because we have other plans we want to happen first. Perhaps a certain wedding guest we want to join us. We started videoing our lives 2 years ago. I had wanted to get a video camera for a while, because when I was growing up we would always have one set up on a tripod at Christmas, or my dad was following us round Pontins with one on his shoulder. The first video camera he had was massive, the tapes were video cassettes. The next one was a bit smaller with smaller tapes. The last video camera he upgraded to was a little JVC one with tiny tapes when I was 11. After that there aren't really any videos. Everything went digital and no one bothered with video cameras anymore. Watching all of my old video tapes back made me really miss it, I would watch things I had forgotten about - like exploring Normandy beach when I was 11 - and it brought back happy memories. So I wanted to start capturing things again, and I felt the only way to do it and have it feel authentic was to get a camcorder. Kirsty and I picked one up from Curry's in time for Christmas 2012 and set it up on the windowsill so we could film the whole day. Those videos have completely disappeared, we think they were saved on a computer that crashed and lost everything. We back everything up onto a hard drive now and have started to make videos specifically for YouTube too. We invested in a tripod because we were forever balancing the camcorder on stacks of books, an ironing board lowered halfway, a stack of CDs, a fruit bowl, the back of a sofa etc. We don't spend a lot of money on equipment by any means. Our camcorder is this one and cost about £230. Our tripod is this one and cost £30. I also have my own camera for photography which was bought by my dad as a replacement for my old DSLR.
I will be making a more detailed biography in the future where I talk about my sexuality, mental and physical health, my favourite memories etc.

This blog will be a place for me to write down my thoughts, share my passions and just generally document what I have been up to. I'm aiming to write a new post at least once a week.

I would love to hear about your passions and whether there is anything you want me to write about in the future. I always read your comments (:
